F22 to f23 engine and transmission swap
I swapped my honda accord 1996 f22 4 speed automatic transmission to an f23 4 speed electronic automatic transmission everything works fine but there is a harness on the end of the gearbox and no connector for it on my stock harness is there any way to connect it i beleive it is for the overdrive any ideas?
I *think* you would have to make a manual lockup trigger because:
for auto will NOT work, manual WILL work
<F23>
TCU and ECU into 1 single unit
<F22>
TCU and ECU separate units
So somehow you would need to trigger the overdrive with something manual to get it to go and stay in overdrive.
Hopefully someone else might have done this hack, but my understanding was that when you do this particular swap you lose the overdrive because of the separate units.

Thx for your reply yes that's what I need to know how to do because the overdrive is always disabled for now so when I am on the highway the engine is running on high rpm around 2700 so if somehow i could enable it will be very good and will put a switch to disabled when needed hopefully someone would have done it before thx again
To be frank, everything I've read says you will lose overdrive in this type of swap. I would think the only way would be to swap over the F23 ECU from the original car and use it's harness so it can communicate with the transmission correctly for overdrive.
Again, maybe someone else has seen this manual overdrive trigger and wiring, but I haven't found any.
