custom turbo header design question
I am planning on going turbo rather then NA. Because of the space I have in the engine bay of the x19 NA would have been easier but I decided to custom make a turbo header that would fit. the question I have is would there be a heat issue. Unfortunately I cant draw even as good as a 3 year old so I dont have a current drawing. I am planning on coming off the head and turning 90 degrees UP. then after clearing the top of the head coming back over the head a little. The question I have is would this cause a heat issue above the valve cover?

I would suggest heat shielding for sure. No sense in baking the valvetrain for no reason.
Just a bent up piece of somehting in there will cut down on radiant heat dramatically. A bit of the heat reflective film on the VC would be a good idea as well, but I wouldnt use it as a subsititute for a heat shield.
