2006 Accord LX no crank no start - flickering buzzing instrument panel lights
I went to crank the car the other day and some of the instrument panel lights started flickering and buzzing when the key was in the second position. The first attached video shows the lights when this happens. When I turn the key to the start position, nothing happens. I do hear a slight hum when in that position.
Sometimes the instrument panel lights will appear normal (like in the second attached video) but nothing happens when I try and start. After trying to start, the lights start the flickering and buzzing again. Btw, when the lights flicker and buzz like that, none of the power windows work.
I've tried jumping the car but the results are the same.
I was thinking this was a starter issue but the dashboard lights deal has me confused.
Any ideas?

yup, dead battery
clean both battery terminals and the ground cable strap
if you have a trickle charge with a status indicator, hook that up overnight and let it charge up

Thanks for the info!
I fully charged the battery. Now I just get a rapid clicking noise coming from the starter.

are gauge cluster lights flashing and blinking rapidly as you try to start? if yes, there's a bad contact. remove and clean battery terminals with a wire brush.
Starter usually clicks once if it's dead or dying.
I replaced mine with an Advance Auto Parts one 5 yrs ago and no problems since. I did have a no start / single click symptom.

Ok, so the issue turned out to be a bad battery. I finally found my multimeter (after a discussion with kids about returning tools to where they belong) and was able to determine it was bad. Got a new battery and negative cable since the old one had a small crack and it started right up.
The next day, I went to turn the ignition and nothing! After a few choice words, I switched the car to neutral and back to park and it started right up. First thought was the neutral safety switch. This happened again later that day and was able to do the same thing to get it started. Today it did it again and I decided to try something else. I took the plastic cover off the intake manifold and used a really long flat head to tap on the starter a few times. There are a few small square holes in the metal piece behind the intake manifold that you can access the starter through if you have a long screwdriver. Starter spun slowly once or twice then the engine started right up.
So, I'm thinking I need to replace the starter now but this will the third time I've had to have the starter replaced. The last one was a little over two years ago.
Any ideas on what could keep causing a starter to go bad prematurely?

On the OE starter, it usually is just the brush assembly that wears out. Replacement of the brush assembly is relatively easy. This link has instructions on a starter rebuild; but, usually you can just replace the brush assembly and skip replacing other parts.

Im having the same issue 3 years later exactly how yours is, cleaned the terminals and nothings changed but my battery and starter were replaced not even a year ago so im not sure if they already went bad or if it is something else.
