Default Brake fluid change

Last year I took my car to Honda for brake fluid change as called for in the manual. Got the car back, asked them how the brakes look. They said they don't take the tires off to do the fluid change. Does anyone know how they change the fluid out? Do they get the fluid that is in the caliper/line or just what is in the reservoir?

Generally, the brake fluid in the reservoir is replaced and brake fluid from the calipers bled. Bleeding from the brake calipers doesn't necessarily require removing the wheel (see attached).

Never knew there was a call for brake fluid change. I'll have to check my book for that. Thanks.
