Suggestions Needed: Which 70 mm Throttle Body is recommended? (B18C1)
I am quite new here so thank you in advance for your help. I have recently purchased a 1997 Acura Integra GSR and it has the stamp B18C on it . For you haters out there I also have the Power steering and A\C YES I'M KEEPING THEM BOTH, ( LOL ) So the long story short is I have been researching on this topic for weeks now for the best throttle body 70mm out there for my car and so far I have found this https://www.techdivingmag.com/10-bes...-size-reviews/ The information out there is pretty out dated Forums dating back to 2002-2005-2007. I want to know WHICH THROTTLE BODY should I get I have read that some Skunk 2's actually stick when you are on a red light then you have to give it a small tap on the gas pedal ... I do not want this. I am looking for the best compatible throttle body size 70mm out there that will be the easiest to slap on to my intake manifold & use my stock throttle cable and voila !
- Can some one here maybe direct me towards the right direction please : )
For those who wants to know I purchased the car last June when the lock downs started here in Canada, Québec. The guy took forever before making the decision to sell me the car.
I just got my MID Dart Sleeves installed, taking my time to assemble the new engine, I just got an S300 and a new computer, a RamHorn turbo manifold, a 1320 power steering adapter that goes behind the manifold. AEM TRU boost gauge and the AEM WideBand. Installing this when I have the time in between the family and work. My buddy gave me his gt30 he upgraded so free turbo thats nice right !!

I think the majority of the sticking Skunk2 TB's were the billet ones. I'm running a 70mm Alpha TB from Skunk2 (it is cast), and haven't had an issue. YMMV...
I agree. I've had the Alpha on 2 cars for a number of years now, with a few other with the Alpha 70mm as well. Worked flawlessly. Not the Billet ones. Even Skunk2 admits to problems with those. (And they never like to admit issues... EVER)
Brother, if this isn't the M.F. truth about Skunk2, nothing is. Lol!
I had an Alpha that stuck on me, yuppers. It wasn't such a problem I could not mitigate it in some fashion though. Matter of fact, I even bought a new one for my current B18C1 build as well. If this one never sticks on me, I will say it was the other TB or even possibly my TB bracket. I had to modify my D-series bracket a bit to fit properly and I would have to be fair and say that might have been causing the issue. More possible rather than probable but, again, I have to be fair about it. Lol
