Hello I'm new here and in the Honda scene. Imma Ford guy by nature. Just needed something cheap on gas.So I've been working on vehicles since I was 14 now at 45 ain't much I haven't seen or done to vehicle. But this is the HARDEST head gasket I've ever done. No room to work 👿👿👿👿

 

I have a 96 ex 4 cylinder. yes it is very tight. Some bolts from the bottom and some from the top.
take your time. When done you will see it is not that bad
I was always a chevy guy lol. Times have changed for me.

 

Stay away from other imports and newer stuff then. These Accords are an absolute cakewalk compared to most things.

 

You might want to look on youtube. The intake bolts seem to be the hardest ones to get. But I think it can be done. You might be able to get the underside bolts from below and some from the top. Ive seen people pull those heads with the intake manifold on but I imagine when your trying to seat the head for install you might scrape the head badly causing another leak. might be worth the struggle to remove the intake before pulling the head.
