1992 Accord tranny issues
I have a 92 Accord LX where is 165000 MI about this thing for 800 bucks and he said it had shifting issues he would be coming out the interstate and when he came to a stop it would not re-engage or is slip out of gear he would have to shut the car off turn it back on and it would go into gear. On my way home that happened one time and ran perfectly for about a week. Currently I can start it up and it will shift into drive reverse and third second and first one time, in D4 I can go until it shifts into second gear and it won't shift into 2nd gear it comes out of gear completely I have to shut the car off or put it in neutral while it's rolling shut it off started back up put it into D4 and it will re-engage. I'm thinking it's a electrical issue I have replaced my ECM but not my TCM, I did a fluid change and it ran great for about 5 miles and then started acting up again. I could really use some help on this so I don't have to take it to the tranny shop and get charged boocoos also I would like to add no leaks replaced idle air control and antifreeze fluid change
Check the codes jump the blue connector.
There are many topics on these issues.
Check the solenoid screens. Clean and check them for a click.
Your tcm is almost 30 years old. Look for bad solder joints or burnt up components inside. (Fire smell)
those are the easy ones and usually free
