Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone could help me answer a question about my 1999 (98 Spec) JDM DC2-R.
So I imported this vehicle from Japan to Canada and was just looking at the little features on the car...one being the interior center console "Type R" badging that sits just below the hand brake,
I've been looking around the internet and most if not all "interior badging" for these cars show a badge that says "Integra Type R (98-Spec)".
The one that came in my vehicle shows "Integra Type R (R-0413)"
So this got me thinking, why is it like that and why does it show a number instead of a "98 Spec".
(Pictures attached of the badge in my car and the generic JDM 98-Spec badge. ) the generic 98-spec that came in all 98-spec JDM ITRs The current one the came in my ITR that imported
If anyone knows or have some insight please let me know,
If it's a late 99 model {made after October} it could be that it's a Rx
Mine was built December 99 but is considered a. 2000 but mine is a Rx it Ek9 steering and s2k style pedals and a dark blue faux c fiber trim
Interesting...
Is there a possibility that the 1999 models Type Rx's came without all the features that came on the 2000 models? If so that might solve my question because mine did not come with power folding mirrors and keyless entry etc etc.
The 98spec had as you state the plaque with 98spec on it. 96spec cars didnt get any badge and UK/European ITRs had just a number but no R before the number so your plaque is from an Rx.
The Rx model had a blue tinted faux carbon interior trim and folding mirrors and keyless entry....does your car have any of those parts?
