Default 2000 EX. Si springs & Shocks work?

My 2000 EX has blown shocks. I would like to replace them but increase the stiffness just a tad. I see the Si has tiny bit stiffer spring rate.
Will this raise the car and if so, by how much?
I don't want a stiff ride, it's a daily, but factory feels too soft. Amazon sells Si springs and shocks for $200 shipped. Sounds like a good deal to me unless you guys and gals can recommend something else.
