Using a P06 intake manifold and throttle body, there is a small connection for a vaccum line, labeled 12, aswell as a (coolant?) line on the iacv. And the large angled vaccum port on the throttle body, which i heard goes to the braided line coming off the canister. Any help would be much appreciated!
sorry if formatting is weird, uploading from my phone in the garage!
Re: MPFI Swap, MAP/vacuum and coolant routing help
You can bypass the IACV coolant lines if you want to keep IATs down. Cold starts may be affected.
Not sure about the #12 vacuum port you see - I don't know the vacuum routing for that intake.
The angled throttle body port does go to the evap canister.
The map sensor will be fine on the throttle body, uses the same connector.
Re: MPFI Swap, MAP/vacuum and coolant routing help
Vacuum line on #4 runner goes to the evap purge solenoid.
As KP stated, you can bypass the coolant going to the IACV if you don't live in a very cold climate. But it looks like you live in MI, so I would probably consider running it, especially if this is just a daily driver. The small coolant hoses basically daisy chain the IACV and throttle body from the water pipe to the thermostat housing. If you have an FITV, that also has a small coolant line going to it, but there is only an inlet, and no outlet.
Angled port on top of the TB does go to the evap canister, as KP stated. This port enters the TB before the throttle plate, so leaving it unplugged will not create a vacuum leak.
Yes, you can just plug directly into the MAP on the TB, though you'll probably have to extend some wires to do so.
