i have an EG9 with b16. After few sec after cold start it start a weird whining noise. After warm up the song goes off. I checked the alternator and power steering pump (I dont have climate compressor). The song stayed. I changed the timing (Gates timing belt, skf tensioner and aisin waterpump) the song stayed. Oil is motul 10w40 and the level is ok. I link below a short video about the cold start. Someone pls Tell me what is this song? My hair pulling out.

 

It sounds like a loose bolt near or around the header heat shields vibrating! or a piece inside the header collector that's broken loose.

 

I have aftermarket OBX 4-2-1 header without heat shield. The Sound coming from timing side if I get some gas the Sound goes faster and louder. Here's another video about it.

 

sounds like either the power steering pump or alternator is about to die, Im leaning toward power steering pump
