Default Help with ECM

Hello all!

I’ve posted before about my 2000 civic EX auto and the janky manual swap someone did prior to me. I finally got all the parts I needed in to fix it the right way, or so I thought, until I ran into an issue with the ECM.

A guy I know gave me his P2P ECM that we thought would work, but when I got the one out of my car I noticed a problem. My ECM, 37820-P2P-A92, makes use of the “D” connector and the new one does not.

The one he gave me is a 37820-P2P-A12.

Can someone please tell me what part number ECM I need?

This thread just mentions P2P but there might be something in here that could help you along....

Thank you for your reply!

Unfortunately I’ve read that post a hundred times and it doesn’t really mention the ecu, just how to repin the harness.

Looks like you need the A31

Although reading through that thread, the D connector would only be of use for Autos as that's where the trans would connect to. Given this, it sounds like you still have the auto harness and I'm guessing should be fine without the D section. Give it a try.

It runs without that connector plugged in, and doesn’t throw any codes. Only thing is, now I have a surging problem but that’s probably unrelated.
