I recently removed a Karr alarm system from my 93 civic. It was acting up and would go off randomly, and since it is a car I rarely drive I figured it would be best to remove it.
The brain and all wires to/from it were removed. I also pulled the spliced-in relay, that was tapped into the blk/wht wire underneath the steering column. Then I connected the blk/wht wire back together. Still nothing.
I can't find any other wire taps, everything pretty much looks like a factory harness now other than the wire I just reconnected.
Fuel pump is priming, and getting all the normal lights on the cluster. But when I turn the key it doesn't crank. The lights just go out.
Any troubleshooting ideas? How can I see where the ignition is getting cut? Experienced honda owner but not great with the electrical stuff.
Remove that "jumper" wire on the Black/White wire. Solder the two ends and cover with heatshrink tubing. As for the white wire, remove the tap and see if the wire is cut. If so, do the same thing...solder and cover properly.
