I bought my dx with an aftermarket cheap ebay header on it. I suspect the thin metal makes this thing much louder than the stock cast manifold in the bay. I can't seem to find the oem y8 manifold as I already have cat delete everything is just aftermarket and I fear just as loud. I like a loud exhaust I'm just talking about engine bay noise. Are these things just naturally loud running engines or is there a fix. Iv already had valves adjusted and I don't think a y7 header would fit to the rest of the piping I have as it's fit for the y8 replacement. Pictures of the stock y7 look as if it goes diagonal right after the cat.
