Default H22a4 build need help

Hey I知 kinda new to this side of building vehicles I知 used to building trucks, but I recently picked up a 1998 prelude sh and I have a extra h22a4 block and I知 wanting to build it to push a lot of hp but kinda wanting to stay on a budget I kinda got eveything figured out except the main internals the pistons rods and the crank, whats the best to use for the most horsepower while staying under budget?

might as well keep it stock. you cannot get much out of H22. not worth the cost

SH's specially are dead end

A lot of horsepower + budget don't belong in the same sentence.

As stated above, SH models are a dead end. The ATTS unit cannot hold any meaningful power. You can swap it out for a standard transmission and engine(as the block castings are different for the SH) but at that point you might as well get another car.

Enjoy the good handling and add some bolt ons or sell it and move on IMO.

Not true. Mine is sleeved w/ pistons, rods, crank shaft, valves, retainers, springs, 1000cc injectors, balance shaft delete, precision 58/58 turbo, limited slip diff, final drive gezr from a honda accord.. i think it is definstly worth it if looking to build the motor entirely. Im sitting around 400hp to the wheels, i have never been gapped. Smoked a Challenger Scat Pack yestarday too.

But i will say this, it was worth it. For me i would have done the same with a B series, full build. I like my turbo cars to have lots of power reliably.

its wiser to get 4wd or rwd turbo engine to play with

I disagree. I personally love smoking Hellcats and seeing the look on their face as they realize a 1997 Honda just blew their $100k car outta the water, taken all the way to Gapplebees. Lol.

I was surprised at how well my civic grabbed. I mean 1st gear wasn't happening and 2cnd was borderline but fwd isn't THAT big of a handicap. My buddies' 450hp manual 4spd lsd Pontiac was actually more difficult too get off the line, prob bcuz 3800lbs and no suspension setup more than anything.

where was i... H22s respond very well to cams, valve springs, ihe, and remap/tune. The h/f series seems to be only slightly behind K24 in terms of na whp potential, 250+whp is not uncommon for a stroker H w valvetrain and pump gas. But yeah, that atts seems to be your weak point right now, maybe hold up until u boost tho.

you cannot get ATTS working if you have to get your engine tuned - if you have to change ecu to get engine management ATTS drops off
