Icon5 Weird amount of fluid

I just drained my trans fluid on 8th gen civic sedan and according to everywhere I looked and even a guy working on the exact same car I have on youtube says 2.5q fluid comes out but I measured the amount that came out from mine and it was 3.95 - 4 US quarts brown/red fluid.

What exactly happened here I am confused. I put my car on ramps around 6-6.5inches height ramps, not sure if it does make a difference. Ramps were on a very level surface.

Overfilled. The OE fluid is a light gold in color.

Are you sure about the color? Because I got OEM fluid from dealership and it was light red color. Maybe you mean the old z1 fluid?

Uhhhh... wait... are you referring to an AUTOMATIC transmission or a MANUAL transmission ? I assumed the OP was talking about a manual since the referenced amount of fluid to fill the transmission was about 2.5 quarts. Automatic transmissions hold a LOT more fluid when you include the torque converter, and yes, the fluid would be very red when new, and a darker red/brown color when used.

OP, what type of transmission do you have ?
