Cb7 F23a1 swap?
Hey guys I've been reading up on some stuff with the f23 swap and these accords, but I've yet to have any answers. I got a jdm f23 online because my (I guess Frankenstein f23a/f22) just started pouring oil out of the rear main and many other places after I bought the car. I have a few questions.
So with the motor being an f22 top end and f23a1 bottom end, what all do I need for an f23a1 swap? I'm not sure what ECU the previous owner had in the car, I'm assuming the original obd1. Would i need a new ECU or could I run it off the obd1, I've seen you'd have to replace some things like dizzy and iacv. Any tips would be appreciated. Also if you have previous experience with the swap, how did it go?

Are you saying you will replace your frankstein with just a F23A complete engine?
If so, you would need to pull the ECU to see what they did. They might have converted it to OBD-I, but you can run ODB-II if it's going back to standard stock. Depending on what came with your F23a, you will need an intake that fits, stock dizzy (did it come with it?).

If you're keeping the F22 head it will be a simple swap. All of your original wiring, ecu, sensors, etc will work just fine. You could switch to a chipped P28 if desired and get a tune for maximum performance but the stock F22 ecu would account for the small difference in displacement just fine.

Yes pretty much all H/F series transmission are interchangeable.
If you keep the F23 head, the swap is going to be a lot more complicated. The intake manifolds are very different and lots of wiring and other things will have to be extended or otherwise modified.

So I'll probably just keep the f22 head and boost on that, any info on how well the f22 holds boost?

Well the F22 head flows better than the F23 head so that's one benefit.
The F23 bottom end you plan to use is the weak point though. Specifically the connecting rods. It's a very short rod with a smaller and more narrow journal than other H/F engines. They will still hold 250-300hp reliably though.
