I am asking for suggestions. I am thinking of private purchasing a 2011 CRV, VIN 5J6RE4H31BL824048, 20,000 KM.
I have done a CARFAX and it shows service records starting In BC in 2017, which is the date the current owner purchased it. It was mfg at the USA plant, for the Canadian market. No record of it in USA.
My question that can't be answered is what happened to it between 2011 and 2017, Honda Canada can't answer the question nor the dealership.

Is this a red flag or could it have been sitting at a dealership all that time unused- as current owner was told?
Thank you for your assistance, lots of money for me to put out and I want to be cautious.

Yes, signed up day of post and I talked to Harmony Honda, as they were the first two service records and she said purchase was from them.
