have you tried getting a new starter ? that happened to my 95’ civic and at the time i thought something else was wrong until i noticed everything else okay and working fine. so you might need to check the starter or the pcv valve.

Wouldn’t this be as simple as a new battery though?

simple but not as simple as you think, your alternator is fine and your battery could be brand new. BUT the starter is very important in making your car turn on, so try tapping your starter with a wrench/hammer or the back of the screw driver while having an other person crank the car. if that doesn’t seem to work then always remember, check the pcv valve. should be pretty simple and not hard labor at all!

I think that it's the starter as well.

^^^This is a very valid point. Charge the battery with a battery charger, run the car and with a bad or weak alternator, the battery eventually dies to the point the car won't start. Wash rinse and repeat.

Test the battery, it's probably dead again which of course would mean you still need a new alternator.
