Default Hondata needed?

Im having a separate head ported and polished, and adding double springs for my 03 ex. That shouldn't require hondata i would think because the sensors should just pick up the extra flow correct. I can build a badass motor for anything but if i need a computer to tell it how to run im lost. Lol

Unfortunately, that is NOT how it works. ANYTHING that you do to the stock engine that WILL make power... WILL need tuning to manage it.

So, the question for you is: What sensor specifically do you believe will "pick up the extra flow" ???

I was guessing between the o2 and mass air flow it would compensate for the extra air/fuel mixture but guessing not so much now

The MAS and o2 sensor should be able to compensate a little bit, but if its too much of a change it will throw codes for long term fuel trim.

Are you talking about just doing porting and nothing else? No cam or anything? because in that case you will probably not need tuning, but youre also not going to make any more power either. lol

Were in the 01-05 sub-forum. Didnt those cars use mass airflow or were they still speed density?

They were still Speed Density (MAP). In the US, the Civic chassis didn't get a MAF until 2006.
