Black smoke low mileage

hi I just changed my engine from D16 vtec to D15vtec .my old D16 was with crank sensor and new is without crank sensor. My old engine D16 vtec was giving black smoke with low mileage only 10km per litre .New engine also giving 10km per litre with black smoke. Iam very very stressed from this situation .also from new engine upto 4th gear car runs good it reaches upto 110kmph but as I go in 5tg gear the acceleration is very slow goes maximum 130kmph I don't know what is happening .now iam stressed up and want to sale my car if not going okay plz help me I don't want sale my car .its 96 model honda civic with d15B engine now
