Default Leak on new water pump

My daughter recently purchased a 2007 Accord with 130,000 miles that never had the timing belt replaced. I purchased a kit with the Aisin water pump, and we finished putting it together yesterday. Unfortunately, it leaked badly after warming up. We disassembled it and paid particular attention to bolts we may have missed tightening properly as well as checked the o-ring to see if it had slipped out and got pinched. Everything looked good. I can't find a reason why it leaked, and I'm not sure where it was leaking from. There was some coolant at the bottom of the water pump, and I did see a drop fall from the lowest part of the water pump, so I believe that is the culprit. I don't want to take this apart again. Can anyone offer suggestions on what I might do to track down the leak, or how to ensure it won't leak once reassembled? With everything covered up with plastic, I'm at a loss here. Thank you.
