Honda civic 1991 my heater and radio only work in accessory mode what do I do I'm cold and I drive my car alot

 

For the radio, check under-dash Fuse No. 12 (15A).

Give more detail how the heater doesn't work. Is the fan blowing air inside the car?

 

Fuses are fine heater only blows in accessory mode as well as lighter and stero

 

Sounds like a faulty ignition switch (electrical portion).

At the under-dash fuse box, brown connector C929. Turn the ignition switch to the 'Run' position, test for power on the wires.

The following wires should have power when the ignition switch is in the 'Run' position:

• Yellow
• Blk/Wht (black color wire with white stripe running through it)
• Blk/Yel (black color wire with yellow stripe)
• Wht/Blk (white color wire with blk stripe)

If you have power at some but not all the wires, then the ignition switch is probably bad.

 

yeah i agree its likely the ignition switch. sometimes just spraying WD-40 into the key hole. usually just taking it apart and cleaning the contacts with isopropyl and applying new dialetrric grease will make an old one work as new.

did your car ever get stolen? when someone stole mine and used a screwdriver to start the car, it just took a bit of cleaning of the ignition switch to get to work again.
