Icon5 Need advice for repairing or replacing electrical connector

Hey folks!

I have a 2006 Accord EX V6 throwing a few P0443 codes. As I was looking around, I discovered the electrical connector is severed at the vapor purge valve. Is there an easy way to repair or replace this connector? It seems the other end goes straight into the main engine wiring harness.

I’m a novice with engines, having picked up a bunch from my dad. But, I’m very limited when it comes to electrical stuff; most of my experience there is with IT network cabling.

I’m really hoping I don’t have to replace the entire wiring harness!

The tricky part is getting the right pigtail connector. This one looks similar and may work, even though it is listed for other years.

Amazon Amazon

A rodent probably chewed that connector.

Thanks! Amazon says that will fit once I plugged in my car’s info. For $10, I’ll try it. 😁

Let us know how it turns out and post a picture of the repair. Many times we never know what happens in most threads.

Also, if it happens again, Honda sells rodent tape (not cheap; but, deterrent is better than constantly having to repair).

If it doesnt work you are guaranteed to get the connector here. We have used them for years here at our shop(just replaced an S2000 TPS connector a few days ago.)

They are not cheap(around $75-$150) but guaranteed to have what you need or they will make it.

Thanks @tech8 and @DCFIVER !

As it turns out, that first pigtail didn't fit; the notch was on the wrong side. But, I started looking through the other options at Amazon and found
the right one the right one
. This one is now installed, codes cleared, and looking good for several days now.
