Default Crank position (4 blinks) after b swap in 89 crx dx

So as the title says I did a b swap in my 89 CRX and ever since I got it to start it's always been in limp mode and whenever I look at the ECU it blinks 4 times followed by one blank but the one blinks is the oxygen sensor which isn't really a big deal but the one that's been troubling for me was the four code or the crank position sensor and I tried messing with the wires on the distributor and there's been no progress so I was wondering has anybody ever encountered this problem and if you did what did you do to fix it because it's annoying being in limp mode also it blinks 8 times also causing it to be in limp mide and I cant figure out what the problem is

Was it working before the swap without being in limp mode? If so, what did you change wiring-wise? Double check/trace the wires from the distributor to the ECU and compare against the wiring diagrams in the HELM manual. If you ran new wires, were they shielded wires? Did you ground the shielding on only one end?

What B series and OBD0, OBD1, or OBD2?
What vehicle did you buy the distributor for?

There's your problem. If ECU is OBD0, distributor must also be OBD0. If ECU is OBD1, distributor must be either OBD1 or OBD2.
