Icon3 Should I do a muffler delete on my Del Sol

I'm sorry in advance if this was already asked in another thread, all I could find was res delete on a civic sedan...

I just bought a 93' Del Sol with the d16z6, and I would like to know how loud it would be if I got rid of only the last muffler... has anyone ever tried it?
I'm looking for a good sound, not too loud and not too "ricey". I know everyone's gonna say "get a catback" but I don't want to spend too much, and the ebay cat-backs look horrible.

I've done it. It sounds bad. I took mine off because my muffler was rusted out. I was also 18 and though it sounded great. The best thing I ever did was go to a muffler shop and have them put in a new mid pipe and muffler, and had them use bigger piping. It was finally all matched to the aftermarket header and cat, and it sounded great, I had more power low/mid torque range, and it was quieter.

we've all been there, louder is faster (or it's falling apart anyway, who cares) BUT the first time you want to gouge out your ears from the droning exhaust on the highway you'll be very ready for this advice...

Don't do it! Maybe do a cut-out instead?

When the muffler fell off of Stinky (1995 civc lx), I arkansas engineered a glass pak in its place. It sound fine at idle but then I had to go on a 500 mile round trip from St Louis Mo to Springfield Mo. I ordered a real replacement muffler at the half way point. At 3000 rpm for 2 1/2 hours the exhaust drone drove me nuts. Now Im looking for a cat back to muffler pipe for cheap cuz the old one is, well, old and rusty
