Default Need help

I recently bought a 93 ej2 with a d16y7 and it was 6spd swapped from a auto would anyone know what trans it is or have any recommendations for a new motor and trans set up that would work

The engine is NOT a D16Y7 and I am unaware of any "D" series 6-speed manual transmission. Please provide accurate information if you truly want assistance.

Would you know what motor it is I’m new to Honda’s but the car has me stumped Bc it was an automatic but swapped to a 6spdand the dude I bought it from said it was non vtec but pulled as if it did.

but does anyone know of a cheap swap for it?

Look for the engine code stamp. It is on the left side of the exhaust manifold on the block. It will look like this.


Just looking at it...my guess is you have a D16A6 or a D15B7/8...

Once again, it's not a 6 speed. And it looks like the D15B7 valve cover. 100 bhp non vtec engine. Check the block stamp as another person mentioned.

If you try throwing it into 6th while cruising in 5th, you will be in for an unpleasant surprise.

No one in their right mind would spend the kind of dollars to make a 6 speed d series transmission. It would cost more than the car itself.
