My check engine light is flashing. My engine is over heating also. Need help any ideas what it could be. Has a rough low idle. And stopped on me and stalled on me on the side of the road. All I knew what was wrong with it was a 02 sensor.i changed my water pump but not timing belt. Also radiator and thermostat and hoses.

 

Scan the car and tell us what the error cade says. Otherwise you are truly guessing when you don't need to. At this point, could be a dozen different things.

However, are you saying the car is still overheating even after changing the water pump, radiator, thermostat, and hoses? If so, that would point to a leaking head gasket, as that's about all that's left.

Was the radiator fluid normal looking when you drained it, or milky looking like chcocolate? If you rev the car, can you see bubbles in the radiator reservoir?

How do the plugs look? wet? gapped correctly?

oil level normal?
