Hey guys, got a quick question. My 2002 Accord makes a slight scratching/screeching noise (that's the only way I can describe it) after starting the car.
I noticed it a few months ago, but the sound always went away after the car got warmed up.
However, now it's starting to make that sound all the time, and it gets a little louder whenever I make a sharp turn.

I've been doing a ton of google searches, and it looks like the issue may be the tensioner or perhaps something related to the power steering.
It could be the timing belt as well, but I got that replaced 4 yrs/30,000 mi ago, so I doubt the issue is with that.

remember there are a lot of belts. Could be power steering or air conditioing belt. Or the pulleys, but sounds like a belt to me. Otherwise, yes, power steering. What is the fluid level at on the power steering right now? You should see the fluid marks on it for min and max. If it's low, start looking for the leaks, first checking the reservoir and the hoses, then climb under to see if it's coming from the rack somewhere. I just replaced mine because it was making the noise and it was leaking from all over it. hopefully it's just the hoses if it's that.
