I'm thoroughly following the service manual and reading previous post about this aswell.
I'm aswell aware of most post saying that it is 32mm.
And i can also confirm that it is 32mm on my car.
I want to understand why the service manual specify thats its 22mm
Is it simply 22mm thread 32mm socket ?
And most OEM/Aftermarkets sellers are trying to sell the 22mm for my car.
For instance all4honda
And i cant seem to find 32mm spindle nut on aftermarket websites (I live in europe)
Threads are designated or named by their maximum external thread major diameter and their pitch measurement. The external thread major diameter is the first number. For US metric threads it's often preceded by the letter M, and the second number is the pitch. Thread pitch is the distance from the crest of one thread to another crest measured along the length of the thread. English threads are designated by the frequency of how many threads are counted along one inch, the inverse of pitch. A 1/4-20 fastener has 20 threads per inch (20 in^-1) or 0.05 in pitch.
M6 x 1 screws have a diameter of 6 mm and the threads are 1 mm apart. They are often referred to as "ten millimeter bolts" because they are often operated by a 10-mm wrench. The wrench size for the head of a screw or nut is somewhat arbitrary, and definitely not used to define the size of the fastener.
Also, bolts are used in buildings. Screws are used in machines.
