Hello all, I have a '91 EF sedan, and I am currently having issues with the carb. I wanted to know if anyone knows where I can find a rebuild kit for it? Or is it not available? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

 

Maybe try searching for a DPFI Throttle Body rebuild kit? the D15B1 and D15B2 Dual-Point Fuel Injection is not something people usually want to keep, as it is mainly for fuel savings!!
There is definitely info about these, but searching carb may be throwing you off since it is actually a throttle body!

 

Thank you so much for the info. This is my first EF so I'm not too savvy on the D15B engines. This car isnt dual point tho, it doesnt have injectors. I've had other civics but they were EG and EK chassis. If I could I would like to convert to fuel injection but dont know how. I'll do some searching for the throttle body as you had mentioned. Thanks again.

 

Whats wrong with the carb? What is the engine code?

I don't know how much help you'll get here since it isn't USDM but if you post up details and symptoms maybe we can help you get it figured out.

 

I didnt know 88-91 even came with carbs in the JDM! Figured they would have given the US the carburetors. I agree, what is the complete engine code?

 

Thanks for all your input. It's much appreciated. I ended having a buddy pull the carb apart and clean it up. It had been sitting for a while since it needed a head gasket. Just need to get my RPF1's cleaned up so I can take these SI wheels off.


Runs good now.
