Brake noise with light braking
My 2007 Accord is making a rubbing/creaking like noise when braking at low speeds. I have been into the dealership for this issue and it wont seem to go away. My tires are fine, brake pads and rotors were replaced by the dealer as the culprit. They assure me the shims and caliper are all fine. But the noise persists, it seems to go away after their inspections/work and come back within 50 miles driven.
the odd thing is it goes away when the rotors are cleaned or wet. For example I can get a car wash and the noise stops immediately, i have sprayed the caliper and pad area with a water spray bottle and the noise goes away. But comes back again in like 20 miles.
I honestly don’t know what else to do, Honda dealer says there is nothing wrong.
Anyone experienced this or have suggestions?
my only option at this point is to suffer through it or buy a new car.
