Default B18 into 89 CRX

I am considering a project for my race car. I am thinking about installing a B18 engine and manual transmission in my 1987 CRX. I understand that I will need custom axles and will need to swap some of the steering and suspension parts. If the engine is carbureted (plan is for dual Weber side drafts) is there any need for a ECU? Currently I am running a D15A3 engine with Weber carburetor and no ECU.
