1990 Honda CRX DX Auto. Trans. swap to Manual Trans.
Hi everyone. I currently have two 1990 CRX DX models, one manual, and one auto. Both are the same year, same model, and same motor. I was wondering if someone could maybe give me some pointers on how to swap the engine from the automatic CRX, to the manual CRX. What would I need ahead of time to prepare for a swap, parts wise, tools wise, etc.? Any help is appreciated!

Are you only swapping the engine? If so, it will be a direct swap - no additional parts needed. Depending on how old some components are, it may be a good time to replace them while you have the engine and transmission separated. I'm thinking mainly of the clutch and the rear main seal (if it's leaking), but any other maintenance items like the timing belt, coolant hoses, etc. - now would be a good time.
Tools:
•17 mm/14 mm for mounts and bellhousing
•12 mm/14mm (12 point socket) for clutch and fly wheel *blue lock tite when assembling the clutch and fly wheel
*
And that’s the basic tool sizes to drop your d15
I’m not going to go over each individual bolt size so bring yo toolset.
