Default Cluster swap issue 6th gen hatchback

my 97 hatch had the cluster with no tach, worked fine but being a manual i wanted a tach, so i purchased a cluster from a 98 coupe that has a tach. Looked online everywhere stating that they are all plug and play, which it seems as tho it is. All plugs match up in the rear, two green/teal colored plugs upper and one smaller yellow one to the bottom.

my probelm is when the car is on the tach works but the fuel and temp guages do not.

i followed all the “wires” on the sheet and they seem to be in the correct places.

any ideas? Please and thank you.

Maybe those two gauges are actually broken in the cluster that you bought.

all 96-00 Civic clusters are interchangeable, including the SI coupes. You can also swap in ones from a CRV (96-01). If the side gauges don't work, that cluster is messed up
