Default obd1 and mini me distributor on d15b1

I KNOW this topic has been beat to death and i feel bad posting about it.

Currently piecing together an OBD1 MPFI Swap on my 89 Hatch STD. I'm going to complete the MPFI and OBD1 Swap at the same time, and later down the road I am going to throw on this Y8 head on that I have laying around.

My question is if there is a Distributor that will both fit onto my d15b1 head, that will also bolt up to my y8 head down the road? or will I have to get another distributor when I swap the head. I have found much conflicting information.

Sorry for beating this topic into the ground more but hoping I can get some help on it. Thanks

From my understanding, if you plan on doing the MPFI and OBD1 swap all at once you'd need an OBD1 distributor to go along with it. I believe you can use the D15B7 distributor which would work with the D15 head and the Y8 head(Someone correct me if I'm wrong). May have to look into timing for the different heads. I purchased an adjustable cam gear for the Y8 head that I'll be throwing on my D15B2. Keep us updated on how it goes!

yes I need an obd1 distributor that will mount to both the b1 and y8 head! I will wait for some more insight on the topic, all I need is a throttle body, and injectors. I have a p28 and a z6 intake (i think its a z6) so far!

picked up a d15b7 injectors, fuel rail, and distributor today, o2 sensor wires looked messed up, and the throttle body was missing. Getting closer to the swap!

wow looks very handy! unfortunately im a student and trying to do the conversion as low-buck as possible, and I am fortunate enough to not have to rely on my project car, so I am going to attempt to DIY it!!
