K20z3 bottom end - k24a top end

Default K20z3 bottom end - k24a top end

Picking up a k24a tomorrow , looking for builds to make around 400 ish hp probably going turbo , any help or tips would be appreciated, what I should look out for or even your own builds would help than nmd !


I have a 09 civic si coupe if that also helps

usually for frank motor builds for k series its better to do the k24 bottom for torque and the k20 head for top end power. I personally have never seen anyone do k20 bottom with a k24 head

This is a very generalized statement and doesn't fit every requirement... and a fine one found on the Internet. In the real world, it is more complicated than this.

A turbo kit will make 400 WHP with either engine... no head change is necessary. Your post title suggests an uncommon combination... especially if the K24A that you have is not a TSX engine or equivalent JDM version. The cylinder head from an Accord, Element or CRV would be a step backwards in a street car, so I wouldn't suggest that combination.
