The car Mia running good just doesn’t have the quickness it use too. Maybe the JDM engine wasn’t as high on the horses as my J30A1. Seems slow until I hit vtec it’s like I’m pulling a boat. Maybe my throttle is off or my I need some tightening on the valves. If spect so much time on this car it’s just not what it use to be even with a few upgrades exhaust and good airflow seems just to wake up the neighbors. Hood scoop directs cool air direct to k&n filter Modes are as seen no internal.
I'm no expert on this, just thinking out loud here. This engine uses a variable cylinder system, called VCM, which can turn off 3 cyl when needed. Could something like this be happening due to some tuning or misconfiguration? have you ever dynoed it to see what it is producing? Do any scans show anything like a timing that seems too conservative? Again, simply thinking out loud, I don't recall anything different between the JDM and US versions of this engine.
It’s Variable electrical Timing VTEC have not dynode however that would be very helpful I’ll look into that. I cleaned everything and replaced most sensors I have no errors. No warning lights except for a brake lamp fault due to LED. I get good power in second but first seems slow response. The torque I use have just isn’t there. My transmission seems ok. I think getting the car on diagnostic would be beneficial. I’ve been driving with no plates just to get it smog ready. For last six months I’ve had to rely on others due to my residence no longer permitting me to do work on my car. So my car has been in a lot in a business park where I have been putting it back together after it was painted and windows put in. I’ll check to see what I can find. Thanks

Dominic Toretto: I said a ten second car not a ten minute car!
Brian O'Conner: No Faith?
Dominic Toretto: Oh, I have faith in you but this isnt a junkyard, it's a garage!
