Default Transmission compatibility

Does anyone know If a 2000 Honda Accord Transmission is compatible with 1998. They are both 2.3L.

the 1998 to 2002 are all the same combo, so a 2.3 has the same transmission in those years. Mine is similar, I happened to replace my 1999 with a 2001 trans. No issues. If it's a JDM (meaning not from US), then make sure you switch over all the solenoids and other plug-ins as those are different. I am presuming you are in the US.

So if both cars are made in the US do I still need to charge the plugs ins?

99% of the time, it doesn't matter if it was built in the US, I should have said sold in the US (outside the US, there are different engine combos available that we don't have and different other configurations). If the other transmission is one you are pulling from a local junkyard or car here in the US, you shouldn't need to worry at all . The JDM engines from from Japan, and they have different settings and plugs in the tranmssions, which can cause odd shifting if you don't change them to the US ones. that's all. Sounds like you have it good, just swap the trans.
