Default Is BlueDriver worth it? for 1990-2002 honda?

Hi,
I bought BlueDriver from Amazon for $70 on sale, but it does not read most of the sensors if your honda is 2002 or older.
I think it still gives you some live data, but is it worth keeping it? Mine is 2002.
It is "Engine diagnostics only:"
  • Read/Clear Check Engine Codes
  • Repair Reports (Vehicles sold in North America)
  • Smog Check
  • MIL Status
  • Freeze Frame
  • Mode 6
  • Live Data
Maybe normal $25 wired OBD2 scanner does the same job?
Please advise.

Yes, the $25 will generall do about the same. I actually tried the Blue Driver, and found it to be garbage, I am surprised at the high ratings. In may case the software was really buggy, and it wouldn't connect to the phone on the first try, I would have to do it over and over. It was picky about devices, so I returned it. I ended up with a Carvista, which I have now used on close to a dozen cars without any issues. There's a lot of software that works with it as well in case you want to use something other than what came with it. OBDFusion and others, for example. I've used it on a couple of hondas, a BMW, a Ford F-150, a Denali, all without issue.

Amazon Amazon
And....it's only $30. and it's Bluetooth as well, don't need a wired setup.

If you don't want that one, as you said, there are others.

I see... Carvista seems to work partially with Honda. I am thinking about returning BlueDriver. Thank you!

I've found the hardware of Carvista to work 100% with Honda Accords of this generation (1998-2002), the great thing is if there are additional items you can easily use a whole series of apps with it. Sometimes, for example, I use ODBFusion with it, sometimes DashCommand, Sometimes others. All codes it gave me were HOnda Specific so it was easy to identify when I did something. I think you will be content with it.

I have a bluedriver and have had no issues using it with either my '00 or '08 accord. it also works fine on my motorola android phone. I also connect to my 3 toyotas of various models and vintages without issue.
