Hi guys. 1992 Civic EX sedan here. Was testing the main power window switch so I had the door card off. Reinstalled it and now the driver door lock (which controls all other locks) will not stay in the up (unlocked) position unless I hold it there. I noticed this fabric block and think it is supposed to hold the lock up. Can anyone tell me how it’s supposed to be oriented? Referenced dealer manual and couldn’t figure it out.
edit:pulled fuse for power lock system and can’t get driver door lock to move properly
Thanks for the reply. Could not find short in green/red wire. I have the power locks disabled now. The driver door is now stuck in the unlock position. I am feeling some type of resistance when attempting to lock it. I am not pushing hard as I don't want to bend the rod. I am able to turn the key in the door freely but again encounter resistance which prevents me from locking it. I have a video I can share with you of what I'm seeing inside the door.
