Default Avoid Accord Hybrid Touring

The 2020 Accord Touring model has a flaw with Active Noise Cancelling that causes an extremely loud noise to come and go. They are aware of the issue but do not currently have a fix. Beware buying the vehicle because despite knowing about the flaw, they refuse to fix or replace the vehicles that have them! They have been aware of this loud noise randomly coming across the speakers since this layout came out in 2018, but so far have determined it is worth customer dissatisfaction to not fix it!

That's interesting. I just got a 2021 hybrid touring & there are some "interesting" noises that the manual mentions as normal. I barely hear them because I'm half deaf.

Another thing with the Touring...wheels/tires way too big which produce more noise and decreases mileage which defeats the purpose of a hybrid. I just got the EX and love it!

Interesting I have a 2018 Touring that I picked up about a month and a half ago and I haven't noted this sound...

There is a technical service bulletin (TSB 21-053) about this issue, which can affect all trims. If you mention this number, and can convince the service department you car has the problem, they will replace the ANC module. I've heard that some will want to demonstrate it, but I was able to talk them out of that.

I got a 2020 Accord Sport 2.0 last week while in Raleigh NC as a rental from AVIS. I wonder if this active noise dampening being mentioned here is the low frequency bass hum that almost sounded like a lose ground but not like a lose ground. a "whoomph whoomph whoomph whoomph" rhythmic sound that occurred when at slower speeds. Would go away if I turned the radio up louder...(I think) it was weird to say the least.
