Default Bottom radiator tube missing

Recently checking for leaks and found this open-end connection, doesn't seems like it's how it should be. Any idea what this hole does or where it leads to? Appreciated.

Usually when bought new there is a plastic cap on those. Can easily fall off over time. Nothing to worry about.
