Default Transmission fluid change in Accord Hybrid

Does the transmission fluid in the 2014 Hybrid Accord need to be changed? I thought it was an electric drive system sort of like a traction motor found in trains.

Yeah its a service item, just like a regular Accord. We recommend a drain and fill to our customers every 60k.

However your owners manual should give you the factory recommendation.

The Accord uses the maintenance minder, under normal conditions, Code 3 is the transmission fluid change interval.

There is a drain bolt that is accessible after removing the engine undercover plate.

Refill the transmission (e-CVT) with the recommended fluid through the dipstick hole. Always use genuine Honda ATF DW-1.

NOTE: Using a non-Honda ATF can affect shift quality. Automatic Transmission Fluid Capacity:
2.36 L (2.49 US qt) at change
3.8 L (4.0 US qt) at overhaul

Thanks.
I said to do it, but not the rest of the list they produced because I can do a battery and tires elsewhere. I've had the car for seven years in March and it has 41,500 miles. The car is probably the best I've ever had. The only thing I really don't like is the tire pressure monitoring system. Very no drama kind of car. The dealer wanted to see if I would sell it to them. Not a chance, it will be handed down to someone in the family once I replace it.
