Transmission whining/whirring noise when accelerating
I’m new here so forgive me if there’s already a thread on this. I recently purchased a 2007 Accord with the K24 engine and auto trans. For around a week or so, I’ve been hearing a whining/whirring noise at around 2000 RPM and higher whenever I accelerate. The noise goes away when I let off the gas. It sounds like it’s coming from the driver side. I also had both CV axles replaced recently. The left one snapped on me and the right one I just had replaced out of caution because it was super rusty. Could this be a transmission problem? The left axle was replaced at a Honda dealer and the right was at an independent shop. The independent shop said they put in some new trans fluid when they changed the axle. If they put in the wrong fluid could that cause the noise? Any help would be greatly appreciated! The car only has 87k miles on it so I hope it’s nothing major.
