Hey Guys I'm having trouble with my 2006 civic rear shock bushing. First the nut is stripped trying to remove the bolt. Secondly the Bushing i got from Advance Auto parts for a stock 2006 civic looks wrong. Do any of you guys know what this bushing is called or where I can find it ? Or any tips to get the rounded head nut off.
Or do I take the nut off that I easily fit a socket around and back it out that way?
Sorry to ask dumb questions guys.
Is the Round nut suppose to stay ?
The nut is tack welded to the suspension arm. I would grind the nut down to nothing then if the shock bushing and bolt aren't fused together the bolt will slide out. Then replace with a longer bolt, a lock washer and nut.
Because it's an aftermarket shock, you may have difficulty finding a bushing. Hopefully it's stock dimensions.

Is the rounded nut the one Tack welded to the suspension arm or is it the other side of it ??
