Honda CRV vibrates until I lift the gas pedal
Hi guys,
Yes, I noticed there are many threads with Honda's shaking however this I feel is a bit different. My Crv (2005, 2l petrol 4 speed auto) drives perfect till it suddenly starts to shake which ends the moment I lift my foot from the gas pedal. It only occurs when the speed is constant so never when accelerating/braking/ idling. It also only occurs from 50- 80km/h (approx 30-50 mph) never below, never above.
I changed the inner rightside driveshaft (because it was beginning to go bad) but to no avail.
No fault codes.
Any idea anyone?

If you mean a shake like a slipping shake feeling only in fourth gear, that's different. That can occur when the torque converter clutch (TCC) applies under light to moderate load in 4th gear, and fluid contamination causes the TCC to slip and "chatter" causing a shaking . The test for this is hit the D3 button and travel at those speeds and see if the condition occurs. This condition is remedied usually by changing the trans fluid 1 time but good to do 3 drain and fills with a road travel between.

Hi and thanks for the reply!
I will definitely test the 3rd gear thing to see, if that is the culprit. I already changed the axles but there still could be problems with there because I have not found here (in Finland) a great Honda mechanic to actually know what they are doing and during winter times (I dont have a garage....) doing things by myself not that easy...
Thank you again, much appreciated!

It seems the second option was the culprit: I tested with D3 button and everything works great. Thanks a lot for the help, saved me lot of time and money!
PS. IN Finland it is very difficult to get original Honda ATF oils, have you had experience with other oils from Mobil etc that fulfil the Honda requirements, are they as good?
