H23 having trouble starting after headgasket replacement
Last week i replaced the head gasket on my prelude and now it's having trouble starting. when i press the gas it bogs down and dies while cold, it runs alright when up to temp. one thing It might be is the vacuum lines, my phone broke and i lost the pictures of them before i tore the engine apart, also it's been sitting for about a year so it might just be bad gas, Honestly don't know that's why i'm asking, any insight is appreciated.
(sorry about the wind noise, i was doing body work while the battery was charging and forgot to take off the respirator)
Generally yes, some wiggle room there. Any signs there are issues with the repair? Fouled plugs, smoke, etc. Any stored codes? If neither, bad gas would be an easy thing to rule out. Just let it idle until it's half tank or less, fill it up with premium and see if there's improvement. Maybe throw some fuel system cleaner in it.
There was a fair bit of smoke but i adjusted the valves and now that's not an issue, i'll throw some good gas in it and see if that's it.
