Default 2000 CRV SE keyless remote question

I replaced a bad drivers door lock actuator thinking that was the reason I couldn’t get my keyless remote to work ( I recently bought the crv and the keyless remote hasn’t worked ).

should the remote have an led/light indicator when I press lock or unlock not the remote itself? I replaced the battery with no luck. Maybe need a new remote?

yes it has a tiny red led. Check the battery install. Make sure its not upside down.
If the doors all lock with the press of the drivers door lock button ( not the lock switch) then the actuator is ok.
Make sure the tiny LED lights up and if it does do a reprogram procedure. Here is a link
