Default 2004 CRV compressor clutch won’t engage!

I recently purchased an 04 CRV LX and the AC compressor clutch won’t engage. It appears the compressor and condenser are new. The fuses and relays all work and I added about 19oz of refrigerant through the low pressure port with the ac on full and the clutch never engaged and still won’t engage. The ac light comes on but does nothing. I don’t know what to do and I’m getting frustrated

Did you already try swaping the AC relay with the DEF relay to test as they are the same ?
Check for relay operation.... does it click when eng running, ac switched on and you slowly plug in the relay?
If yes, then test for resistance between the terminal that is switched by the relay and ground ...this is basically the coil circuit. If no resistance, the the circuit is open and the clutch electromagnet coil on the compressor is open...either unplugged or broken
Its difficult to get to the little wire plug by the compressor but look to see its connected.

If you can make the compressor cycle by jumping the terminals of the relay the issue is isnt the compressor.

99% of used early 2000 crv compressors don't cycle because of failed clutch coils.
